In two days, I’m heading to Toronto for Editing Goes Global, a gathering of editors from around the world, hosted by the Editors’ Association of Canada/l‘Association canadienne des réviseurs June 12-14. More than 500 editorial professionals from at least a dozen countries will be there! I’m especially excited to explore Toronto– this will be my first visit north of the border, not counting a brief layover in Pearson Airport last fall.
I’ll be speaking on Saturday morning. My presentation is called “Inclusive Editing: Beyond Political Correctness.” Based on the amount of interest I’ve seen in this topic from editors at other conferences, I’m expecting a lively discussion! I’ll also be participating in “speed mentoring” on Sunday, so if you’re attending and would like to chat with me about inclusive language, editing translations, or other topics, be sure to sign up. I’ll also do some tweeting with the #editors15 hashtag, if the wifi is good. If you can’t be there, I’ll post the Prezi afterward!
See you up north!
