A few months ago, I spoke at the Historical Materialism conference in New York about the way freelance workers are ideologically constructed as part of an entrepreneurial class, even though most freelancers have more in common with the working class. That talk became an article for Jacobin Magazine, and I’ve heard from lots of people who are interested in discussing this more.
