The Singular “They” and Subject-Verb Agreement

The singular they is quickly gaining acceptance as a gender-neutral pronoun, and that’s a victory for equality. It can, however, lead to some sticky usage questions. I took on the question of subject-verb agreement over at Copyediting.com.
