The Historical Materialism conferences, held annually in New York, London, Toronto, Delhi, Sydney, and Rome, have become one of the most important spaces for contemporary Marxist theorists to exchange ideas. I’m proud to call the Historical Materialism book series, published by Brill, one of my clients, and have worked individually with many of the authors who present at HM. This is, however, the first time I’ll be presenting a paper myself.
My talk is called “‘Precari-bourgeoisie?’ Myths and Realities of the New Freelance Class.” It’s part of a panel on contemporary class formation, scheduled for 3 to 5 PM on Saturday, April 25 at NYU. You can register here to attend. I hope to see some of you there!
