On August 25, hip-hop artist, writer, and filmmaker Boots Riley visited Philadelphia’s Wooden Shoe Books to discuss his book Tell Homeland Security- We Are the Bomb, newly released from Haymarket Books. I had the honor of interviewing him before a standing-room-only crowd. He talked about youth activism, the relationship between race and class, making music, and much more, answered questions, then performed his poem “This Is for My Folkers” for the enthusiastic audience. Check out the video!
